Airline food - is it really getting better?
Sep 17th, 2009, 6:25am

Not a fan of airport food? Several airlines state their food for purchase options have vastly improved. On Delta for $6 one can have a fruit-and-cheese plate - smoked Gouda, Havarti and Derby cheeses paired with grapes, pecan halves and dried apricots—sounds yummy-wonder if it is?

Plan ahead, on some long flights you can order "salt free", or other special meals without charge and the best part, they deliver to your seat first.  In comparing these special meals to the general coach fare, the speciality meal seems fresher and I never feel like a blow fish two hours later.  Watch the salt ladies!
